What other customers are thinking about this hotel :
This is a great find. It is in a perfect location, but that is not the best thing about this hotel. It is beautiful, the staff is amazing, the appointments and furnishings are lovely, the Leed Certification is the way of the future and all for an unbelievable value.

This is a beautiful, clean and comfortable hotel. But here's the problem: the climate inside the room is too dry and stuffy. I chose this hotel because of the "green" atmosphere. The rooms are powered by placing the keys inside a slot near the door. The hotel is also new and allows no smoking in any of the rooms This is a plus because you can often smell cigarette smoke through the air conditioning system.

Because it's a new hotel, apparently the building codes do not permit any windows to open. So this place is sealed shut. I was assured that the new "state-of-the-art " AC system was able to adjust and even allow for some outside air circulation. This was certainly not the case. I had to buy a cheap humidifier at Walgreen's in an attempt to get so moisture in the room. It helped a bit. I guess I'm confused about the description of "green" and this overall phobia of outside air. Here's a green tip: you can also cut your energy costs by shutting off the AC and opening a window!

Super all around! This hotel is located at the gates to Chinatown and walking distance to great shopping in Union Square and the cable car line to Fisherman's Wharf. As you would expect in SF, small rooms that work for 1-2 adults and a baby in a crib (we brought our son with us.) His portacrib fit in the bathroom. Nice flatscreen HD Tv's, comfortable beds, Aveda toiletries. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel highly.

Wow is all I can say! This was my 3rd visit here, and it just keeps getting better with each visit. The rooms are great, the amenities are nice, the Staff is incredible. The free breakfast was a treat. In the previous stays, I missed it due to my sleeping late. This time I made sure I went and ate. I love the fact the hotel is eco friendly! It was great to walk into China town, and be right there. It's very close to Union Square as well.

For my first business trip to the city, I chose the environmentally friendly Orchard Garden, which was 3 blocks from my office away from home. The bed and breakfast package was a good value -- with fruit, cereals, baked goods, cheese and meats and hard boiled eggs available. Staff were very friendly, recommending a sushi restaurant 5 blocks away instead of the one across the street. Room was beautiful, clean, everything I expected of a business-class hotel. I'll be back!
